Say “Merci” For a Great Year {giveaway post}

by Mara @ What's For Dinner? on December 28, 2012

in family, giveaway

So often, during this time of year, we get stressed out and overwhelmed with all the things we have to do. Classroom parties to attend, gifts to buy and wrap, parties to throw, finals to take… and we lose sight of the real meaning of the season.

While Christmas and Hanukkah tend to be about gift giving, the New Year is a time for new beginnings and fresh starts. Before we can look ahead, we need to take a look back and reflect on the year that passed.

In this past year, 2012, I have so much to be thankful for: an amazing husband, a job I adore, fantastic family and friends, a house to live in with our beautiful dog… I’m beyond thankful for all of these people and things.

In particular though, I want to send a special thank you to my sister. I know, I talk about her a lot, but that’s just the food aspect of things. She had a particularly rough year, and I want to thank her for pushing through and not giving up when things got bad. She’s thrived this year, and I’m forever thankful for the relationship we have.

Do you have someone to whom you’d like to send a special “merci” or thank you? Courtesy of Merci Chocolates, you have exactly that opportunity! Using the Rafflecopter widget, leave a comment on this post as to who you’d like to send your thank you, and there are extra entry opportunities as well, of course.

The giveaway is open until midnight on 12/31. I’m looking forward to hearing your thank yous!

I would like to thank my husband John. He is always very supportive of everything I do and is always willing to lend a hand. He has been especially great the last two and half weeks since we’ve welcomed our daughter Lexi. He is all for getting up and helping with those late night feedings which is fantastic.

I do! I want to give them to my friend Star. Whenever I go out of town or on vacation, she graciously checks in on my kitties. It makes me feel good that she’s there because she’s a total cat momma and would never let anything happen to my kitties. But I know it’s an inconvenience. I try to spoil her with other things as a thank you. :)

In case you were wondering, I’ve already declared chocolate insulin worthy! But I would send them to my Momma, she’s helped us out this past year, and for that, I am forever grateful.
