Back in July, I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot for my friend Missy and her family. We met up at a park, took a couple hundred photos (no joke) and I started packing up my stuff to head home. When I arrived at my car, one of the dads that was at the park with his family approached me for my contact information, since he was looking for a photographer to take some family photos in the fall. I gave him my blog business card and added my phone number, and wondered if anything would come of it.
Fast forward to October, and I got a phone call from “That guy from the park over the summer” wondering if I was still doing photography. We emailed back and forth a few times and set up a date for their family photo shoot. We agreed on October 27, and hoped for the best when it came to the weather.
While it was a bit cold, and we had to change venues, but we had a great time! I have permission to share these photos with you all, and I’d love to hear your opinions!
Thank you so much for the opportunity, Michael & Stacy! I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Way to go, Mara! How fun that they still had your contact information. It was truly meant to be. The pictures are great, although it does look chilly. I don’t know which is worse…taking pictures in the dead heat of summer or in the cold of fall/winter. Regardless, great job!
Thanks Missy!!! <3
I wish we lived in your area! What a great job!
What a beautiful family! Great job Mara – I knew you would do awesome!
