Ok, I know it’s Thursday…. but most of you read my Wednesday posts on Thursday anyway, right? Just go with me on this one, I have a good reason, I swear.
We had our final Wednesday “big” field trip to Six Flags Great America yesterday, and to say it was a success would be an understatement. I’ve never had a group of girls that was more willing to try new things, ride things that scared them, and who would choose going on a ride over heading to a gift shop.
In the numbers:

16: Campers in our group
1: Amazing assistant counselors with our group (Thanks Kalee!)
4: Times in a row said assistant counselor and a parent and sister had to ride one nauseating ride so that all our girls could ride
3: Times on the teacups (well, they’re really spinning adobe pots, but who’s checking?)

227: Feet in the air the Giant Drop goes before (guess what) dropping its riders to the bottom
62: Miles per hour each car traveled with my campers in it

1: Accidental giant meal served to my third smallest camper

7: Times I was sprayed with water on the pirate ship ride

2-3: Required limbs to ride most rides in the park. Seriously.
5: Refills of souvenir cup (2 with diet Coke, 3 with lemonade… guess who drank what?)

We have a Six Flags about 20 minutes away from us, but I haven’t been in ten years. I miss it!

I can’t even remember the last time I’ve been to Great America, although my sister did at the end of May for her sons 8th grade trip. Glad it was a fun time!
