No, I’m not announcing anything.
But, I spent a great weekend away with a group of girlfriends and took a boatload of photos. Back in April, I had a couple of photo shoots with a couple of the same people, one of which was a maternity shoot.
Well, as it tends to happen, Melissa had her beautiful baby boy, Alex, in May. When we worked out this girl’s weekend, Melissa asked if she could bring Alex for a “mommy & me” photo shoot. I’m extremely pleased with how the photos turned out, and the fact that Alex is just adorable definitely helped. He was calm and happy, and a bit of drool was our only obstacle!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on these photos… I’m pretty proud of them!
The rest of the weekend was full of shenanigans, wine, and other fun food and drinks, like this one with an edible orchid:
I’ll be back tonight with a killer whole wheat bread recipe since SBD Phase 2 is in full gear!

Oh Mara, those photos make me all “broody”. What a beautiful baby Alex is! I’d better lie down while this feeling passes. One of those cocktails would help too!
