Wordy Wednesday

We all know how this is really going to go. I can never keep my mouth shut, hence the lack of “Wordless” anywhere in the title.

I arrived home yesterday to Adam cooking dinner. The next thing I knew, this plate was being presented to me.

Chicken picatta from this Giada recipe, roasted green beans, and a side of cherry seltzer. It was amazing!!

I’ve been greeted by this sight most afternoons when I get home and settle in.

Maddux and his beloved ball. He carries it around, sleeps with it, snuggles with it, brings it to me, noses it to Raven… it’s adorable. And kind of disgusting, because honestly, a wet tennis ball is disgusting.

Way more of you want to win this scarf than I ever imagined! I’m truly considering a second scarf giveaway, perhaps for Valentine’s Day… thoughts?

We ordered Chinese food for dinner tonight, and I caved and had about half a cup of white rice to soak up my Mongolian Beef’s sauce. Totally worth it. That sauce is amazing and I need to figure out what they do to make it so delicious.

Is it Friday yet?

xoxo

That chicken looks great! Wish my husband cooked! :) Oh well, he takes care of stuff I can’t (or don’t ) want to do!
I’m going out to lunch with my son and my sister tomorrow, Chinese of course! We have been going to this place in Bothell, WA for 25+ years! Looking forward to Mongolian Beef! And I have to agree wet tennis balls are kinda gross! (but the dog is sooo cute!)

I wanna hear more about the cherry seltzer! Was it just from a can/bottle or was it some homemade concoction? I love flavored seltzer!

Oh it’s from CVS, I don’t know that seltzer is the right word… It’s more like clear sugar free soda. But delicious!!

I’m in NJ and I thought you’d say that it was from some fancy, local Chicago store. We have CVS stores here so I’m gonna go see if I can pick up some. Thanks!

I don’t blame you! I think that good sauce needs rice to soak it up.

That chicken piccatta with the green beans looks delish! Green beans are one of the few veggies I haven’t had since starting SB.

Yep, the 1/2 cup of rice would be worth it! I’ve had this bookmarked to try, but I haven’t yet, but now I want to make it – soon!

I DEF think you should host another scarf giveaway for Vday!!! There’s no way I could make my own and have it look 1/2 as gorgeous. ;)
