It’s a good day when, for no other reason than pure appreciation, a student decides to make up her own 8 days of Hanukkah so that she can treat me to 8 gifts before we leave for winter break.
Yesterday, an army of hedgehog donut holes
Their little faces stared up at me all day, rode home with me in the car, and are continuing to stare at me… I have to remind myself: they’re just sprinkles!
They’re. Just. Sprinkles.
Today, a Godiva caramel bar. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? I hope she knows I appreciate her more than she appreciates me. I feel completely reassured that I am, indeed, a good teacher.
It’s a good day when a gaggle of girls can take soda cupcakes and a vat of icing
And turn them into lovely sparkling Christmas trees.
It’s a good day when, in the midst of 35° temperatures, I can be reunited with my “family” from the summer… while the food may not be the best, it’s the company that matters.
Only 6 more wake-ups… here’s to 6 more good days!
How was your day?
