Happy Sensational Sunday!
Thank you all for the birthday comments/emails/tweets; it really was a great couple of days! My family and friends were beyond generous with their time and gifts, and I’m so lucky to have them all in my life.
The lovely Gina tagged me in the 7 Links blogger post survey thing that’s been going around blogland the last couple weeks, and I thought today would be a great day to go ahead and post my 7 links.
1.) My most beautiful post
My dinner at Alinea
This meal left me nearly speechless. Jackie and I coined the phrase “pure wonder and joy” about the food, the restaurant, the experience… and I still, 6 months later, dream about this meal.

2.) My most popular post
Maple Bacon Cupcakes for Project Food Blog
This post was ridiculously fun and stressful at the same time. It was my first (and only) video post, and the final product got attention from TONS of people! It’s my most-commented post that wasn’t a giveaway!
3.) My most controversial post
I think, along with many bloggers, my most controversial post came with the whole Marie Claire article debacle. My mom wrote a guest post for me which gave a whole different spin to the whole thing!
4.) My most helpful post
So many people are intimidated by making homemade bread, and I was proud to say that my post on how to make homemade ciabatta bread helped those people be less intimidated. I’m still getting emails about this one, and I’m glad to have helped!

5.) A post whose success surprised me
When I crashed the Healthy Living Summit
I’m still convinced that the only reason this post is SO popular is because these two lovely ladies linked to me:
along with about 20 other bloggers… I still don’t think it’s that great of a post, but it sure is freaking popular!
6.) A post that didn’t get the attention it deserved
It seriously rocks. And it always works. Try it. Trust me. Even when it’s topped with salad.
7.) The post I’m most proud of
When our oven broke, or really, almost exploded, and I was set to have a fancy dinner party, I somehow managed to pull it together, pack everything up, and still have a delicious meal for friends. In another world, I would’ve thrown up my hands and said forget it, but instead I made it work! And the cupcakes were fantastic!
And now, 7 bloggers whose 7 links I’d like to see:
And now, it’s YOUR turn? What post are YOU most proud of?

Ok, now onto the post itself — so fun! I loved your Alinea dinner, the PFB video, and your amazing dinner! I totally forgot that you had to do it without an oven!!
For Sensational Sunday I’m going to link up my post I just did about our eBay shop set up in the spare bedroom. My mom has dubbed herself the eBay queen and me the eBay princess. We’re hoping to fund a chunk of the wedding from the sales!

If I can stow away in your luggage, I’m in!!

Glad you had fun at Medevil times – can you believe I’ve never been? Happy Thursday – so ready for this weekend!
Seriously, I’ll email you on the side – next weekend I am out of town, but we have to do a yappy hour before you start school – there is a new wine bar in downtown crystal lake, I’ll get the details – maybe we could meet there?
