The Cupcake Club

What happens when you mix one amazing FACS (Family and Consumer Sciences) Teacher, one cupcake-obsessed Spanish teacher, 14 kids, and one afternoon?

The first meeting of our school's cupcake club, that's what!

We made apple-spice cupcakes (from a mix, we were short on time!) frosted with Pioneer Woman's "Best Frosting Ever" and decorated to look like caramel apples.

I was put in charge of making the frosting. What happens when the librarians walk in to "check things out" right when I'm cleaning up the mixer?

Kristina (who has a great great blog, check it out!)

And Wendy (who made our wedding invites, and whose daughter got the Triple Lemon cupcakes)

Heidi and Quinlan stopped by...

The kids got to work making their cupcakes, then waiting for them to cool, and then... the decorating!

I had so much fun with these kids after school...they truly share my love of cupcaking, and are already asking when the next meeting is! It was a heck of a way to spend a Thursday afternoon!

Any ideas as to what we can do for our November cupcake club meeting??

Stuffed Cupcakes! 🙂 Kind of like a take on “stuffing.” Haha, okay that’s a stretch but I think it would be cute. 😉

I saw a really cute turkey cupcake in a magazine last month. I forget which one, but it was little candies on top and a caramel square shaped like a turkey! So cute!
