I got nothing on the food front from last night… I had a hair appointment and ended up meeting Lizz for dinner at Chili’s, and while I had a delicious burger sans bun with extra veggies, it was nothing to blog about. The company was awesome, and I didn’t feel like blogging a meal you’ve all seen before.
However, there is something you haven’t seen before. You’re used to seeing me like this:
Sorry I cropped you out of that one Jenn!! I mentioned in a couple of posts that I’ve been dying my hair on one way or another since I was about 12. I decided yesterday to go back to my roots:
Yep, I’m a brunette again!!! Please excuse the chili pepper windsock and pirate skeleton over my shoulder. I took this pic at about 7 a.m. in my classroom!
So, what’s the verdict?? I’m personally thrilled with it… I think this will be easier upkeep, and that the color is well-suited to my skin tone and personality. My students officially freaked out when they walked in!

Mara – I LOVE IT! It looks so natural and healthy! Do now you never have to die your hair again because that’s the natural color?
I am sure the kids freaked!

I love it! There is something to be said for my belief that our natural haircolor was custom made for us to go with our skin tone, eyes, etc. Now if I could only go back and convince my 20 year old bottle blond self of that fact.
Work it, girl!!!

Oh I LOVE it! It looks so nice with your skin. The cut is great too. Isn’t amazing how a good hairstyle makes us feel so pretty? Of course you were gorgeous as a blond too.

Mara – it’s beautiful! I love dark hair – and am naturally very dark headed. I started getting gray hairs in high school and started coloring early. As I got older it became more and more blonde and then for the wedding I went to my natural color….since the 2 inches of gray aren’t submissive my stylist and I decided highlights again – BUT she didn’t color my roots first, she blended the gray in with the highlights. I’m not horrified – I love it. Now…finding a gray hair in your eyebrows, that’s another story…humph.
Love it!

The darker color actually makes you look much younger. I dyed my hair once (DARK red) when I was 16 and never dyed it again. I flirt with the idea on occasion, but end up chickening out.

I have to agree with the fact that going back to your roots is my easier to keep up with!! It’s funny that I read this this morning….because….I did the exact same thing last night!! Usually I am a highlight freak with my hair….last night I decided I will go back to my natual color with no highlights…..I’m still trying to get used to it a little bit…but I think I like it.
