Did anyone else have the LONGEST monday ever? I woke up in a daze, much like the one that comes after other big events…so much of yesterday was a blur, and I woke up wondering if it really happened! The kids were nutty, I had a headache, and my classroom was so cold that by the end of the day, I couldn’t feel my toes!
All I wanted to eat was something hot. Like, cooked for a long time, comforting and hot. Lucky for me, Adam called FROM the grocery store wondering what he could get for me so I could cook dinner! I gave him a list, and next thing I know, he’s walking in the door with enough food for a few dinners!
I got to work and made something very nostalgic for me: Mom’s Chicken Stew. There was a long period of time in my growing up where no one in our house ate red meat, so my mom would make chicken stew instead of beef, and it’s something I crave every fall and winter.
All measurements are approximate, as I just kind of threw things in!

I use broth for my homemade soups and panko for breading chicken breasts=)
Thanks for a chance!

I’ve never used panko, but I’d like to try it on fish or chicken. I use broth for soups, stews, risotto, lots of things.
I love chicken stews too.

Oh awesome! I use panko breadcrumbs ALL the time b/c regular breadcrumbs have whey in them. In meatballs, as a breading, and to crumble toppings over stuff. Broth I use to flavor rice, quinoa, and make soups and stews with. I always have panko and broth in my pantry at all times! I also love the silicone things b/c they don’t scratch my non-stick and believe it or not a 2nd tray on my kitchen wishlist! It’s like this package was MADE for me! (haha hint hint!)

Oh and I just found your website today. It’s really a great website. I’ll be visiting regularly. I’ll be making that chicken stew this weekend when my husband comes home from working in Minnesota.

Ck broth is a great base to make soups when time is tight. I’d use the broth to make veggie soup. Lots of carrots, potatoes, onions, celery and tomatoes.
As for panko, I’d bread chicken breast and bake. Yum.

We don’t even HAVE any other kind of bread crumbs in our house…we’ve been using panko to bread everything for years, now. Especially love it on deep fried shrimp…yum~
And chicken broth…don’t get me started! As above, we use it in soups, stews, to cook grains (rice and quinoa especially). I’ve even used it so simmer potatoes in and then mashed them for an extra boost of flavor!
I have never really tried panko, but I wonder if I could use it on tofu! (I am always looking for new ways to cook tofu!)
I have never used panko, but I think it would be good for eggplant parm. I also like using broth for homemade soups-especially since its getting colder!

I like to use broth in my soups. I always make big, big pots of soup in the fall & winter because the leftovers always taste better and I can freeze some too. I come from a Polish family and for some reason all our recipes taste better the second day! I like Panko crumbs for oven frying chicken and veggies, they stay crispier. Great giveaway, thanks!
Broth is a great as a base for a light alfredo sauce
I use the broths to cook my veggies in instead of using butter!!! Gives a little flavor and is still delicious!!!!!!!!

I use broth for homemade soups and haven’t much experience with panko – but I can imagine it would make some delicious encrusted fish (and gee – one of our wedding presents was 20 lbs of fresh caught alaskan fish of various varieties). Hmmm…
