L’Eiffel Creperie

Today was quite an exciting day! First, at 12:07 p.m, my friend Heidi gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Quinlan! He’s 8 lbs and 21 inches, and apparently has a full head of red curly hair! Hopefully I’ll get to meet him tomorrow!! I love babies…can you tell?

Then, after work, I went to the tailor shop to have my first wedding dress fitting! The woman at the shop was wonderful, and while most people would’ve looked at my dress and said it was “fine”, she’s going to make it PERFECT! Sorry I’m not going to post dress pictures here… but I will show you one of my favorite things: my turquoise wedding shoes!

My sister endured insane traffic to come to my fitting, and we decided to go for an early dinner and a mini shopping trip afterward. After a short trip at Sur la Table (where I avoided spending ANY money!), we decided to go to a new area restaurant, L’Eiffel Bistrot & Creperie.

I’d seen this place a few times before, and the curiosity finally got the best of me. We walked in, and it was quite a bit prettier and more classy than I was anticipating (I don’t know what, exactly, I was expecting)

The tables were set with sweet little plates

Which were soon topped with fresh hot bread and sundried tomato tapenade:

We perused the menu and found that, lo and behold, there was a crepe named for our mom, Mimi!

We started with a caramelized onion and black olive tart:

For my entree, I got the Country crepe, which had fresh spinach, brie, pancetta, onions and mushrooms, as well as a delicious side salad topped with beets and a great vinaigrette:

Leigh’s looks almost the same as mine, but hers had chicken, goat cheese, and ratatouille on the inside:

Both of these were amazingly fresh tasting, delicious, and VERY satisfying. The flavor combo of the spinach, pancetta, and brie was something that I’ll be duplicating at some point soon!

We finished off our meal with a delicious sweet crepe filled with nutella:

Now THAT is something that I will NOT be replicating because I could eat however many there were. This was something that I’ll seriously dream about!

Leigh and I then went on to go shoe shopping (one of my favorite pastimes) as well as stopping in a couple other stores, but no purchases were made!

Don’t forget to enter my Blogiversary Giveaway!!! The winner will be announced Sunday!

Have a great night and a happy Hump Day!
