Today was the day that many campers look forward to all summer! Our entire camp went to Six Flags Great America for the day!
As requested, the day, in numbers:
- Campers in attendance: 196
- Campers in my group: 5, plus 2 older “junior counselors”
- Campers on our 65 capacity bus: 53, plus counselors
- Photos taken: 32
- Roller coasters ridden: 2
- Spinning rides ridden: 12, at least
- Water rides ridden: 2
- Average cost of lunch: $15
- Healthy lunches purchased: 1, by me (greek chicken breast with veggies, only half the bread, thanks for the counsel Miz!)
- Crying fits by kids “not wanting to” go on rides: 4
- Kids ending up loving said rides: 4 (the same 4… go figure)
- Wiggles shows watched: 1
- Superheroes met: 1 (WONDER WOMAN!!!)
- Characters met: 4 (Daffy, Sylvester, Petunia, Tweety)
- Puking incidents: 0 (thank goodness!)
- Times on the Potty Ride: 3
- Refills of souvenir cup: 5 (2 with Diet Coke, 3 with water)
- Average time spent in lines: 5 minutes (the park was DESERTED!)
- Inappropriate outfits seen: countless
- Bags of cotton candy purchased: 2, and they were as big as the kids!
- Text messages from parents asking how the day was going: 3
- Injuries sustained: 2 (both mine, bashed knee and stepped-on foot)
- Money spent by me: $34
- Campers driven home: 2, they live near me
- Dinners cooked for me when I got home: 1
- Pancakes made from Golden Malted Pancake Flour: 2
- Slices of bacon: 3 (I ate one pre-photo)
- Eggs scrambled: 2
- Decaf lattes consumed: 1
- Amazing fiances: 1
- Times I’ve thanked him for dinner: at least 5, if not more
- Entries in Chavrie/Foodie Charm contest: 66
- Days left to enter: 1
- Sleepy food bloggers watching Top Chef Masters on DVR: 1 (or more? are you one?)

Glad that you had a good day at Six Flags! I used to dress up as Wonder Woman when I was little. When I was learning to walk, I wore the costume. It’s on video…

Sorry about the injuries!! Being around kids is DANGEROUS! I can’t even count how many times I’ve been hit, kicked, etc (on accident of course).
