Wow.
I have a new appreciation for all you bloggers who post 2 and 3 times a day… I have no idea how you do it! This is now my 4th post in 2 days, which is (I think) a new high. This will be a quickie though, so feel free to check out my other posts from the weekend:
- Friday night’s post, Nostalgia
- Cute Food Saturday!
- Saturday meet-up and sushi recap
After spending a good amount of time today in the sun at my stepdad’s brother’s birthday party (Happy Birthday Jon!), not surprisingly, I did NOT feel like cooking. So Adam and I went back to Old Bridge for a quick and inexpensive dinner. I made much better choices than last time, and since I’m trying this whole Zone thing, I think I did very well. The main concept (from what I understand) is to make meals mostly veggies, about 3-4 oz protein, and a “sprinkling” of carbs.
I started with a bowl of French onion soup, no crouton, no cheese, just one packet of crackers (sorry, phone pics again):
We headed home, and are enjoying some usual Sunday laziness. I actually have day off camp tomorrow as payment for working the overnighter last week, so I think my friend and I are going outlet mall shopping! I’m most definitely cooking dinner tomorrow, so I’ll “see” you then!
